Tingsha bells are small cymbals used by Buddhists during prayer, meditation and ceremonies. They are struck together to produce a high pitch tone that rings for a long time. The dancing water bowl, true to its name, will make water shoot up in droplets like a mini fountain. When the handles are rubbed in a rhythmic fashion, it creates vibrations which travel to the base of the bowl thus sending water dancing upwards. This item is great for the garden as a bird feeder, planter or use it indoors with floating candles. The inside of the bowl is decorated with a dragon motif.

During the Ming and Qing dynasties, the form of the dragon turned more aggressive, powerful and significant. The anatomy of the dragon became more specific and is what we see today. The dragon is made up of the head of a horse, the horns of a deer, nose of a pig, ears of a cow, body of a snake, scales of a carp and claws of an eagle. The Chinese imperial dragon that represents the Emperor will never be seen or represented walking on the ground. It is usually in the heavens or in the ocean.

The use of Chinese Ming dynasty Baoding balls is based on the theory of meridians and acupuncture points. Two or more balls are placed in the palm and manipulated by the hand and fingers. As the balls are rotated clockwise and counter-clockwise by the finger movements, vital acupuncture points in the hand are stimulated.
